Artistic Milliners teams up with Ahya to utilize their AI-powered climate software products, and accelerate to 2040 net-zero targets.
[Karachi, Pakistan] — [August 21, 2024]: Ahya is happy to announce our strategic partnership with Artistic Milliners Limited (Artistic Milliners), a leading global conglomerate with interests in textile and apparel manufacturing , renewable energy, regenerative agriculture and organic cotton with the aim to accelerate their journey to net-zero emissions. This collaboration will enable Artistic Milliners to leverage Ahya’s advanced, AI-powered climate software products designed to simplify end-to-end management and reduction of green-house gas (GHG) emissions and instill confidence in their buyers, suppliers and investors.
As a signatory to the UNFCCC Fashion Industry Charter, Artistic Milliners is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040, with interim goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 40% and sourcing 30% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030. It is committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the SBTi Business Ambition for 1.5°C charters, in alignment with advancements in climate science. Artistic Milliners also supports several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 13 - Climate Action as well as SDG’s 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 17. To meet these ambitious targets, Artistic Milliners has invested heavily in renewable energy, operating 100 MW of wind power and 12 MW of rooftop solar capacity. Further advancing its commitment to sustainability, Artisitic Milliners also prioritizes green building practices, with its Artmill subsidiary and AM-15 & AM-4 facilities earning LEED Platinum and Gold certifications and the establishment of Circular Park, a facility capable of recycling up to 500,000 kg of fiber monthly.
With this partnership, Artistic Milliners shall advance their goal to further embed sustainability as a core part of their business model — utilizing Ahya’s climate software products to comply with increasing sustainability reporting requirements, with simplicity, accuracy and cost-efficiency.
