COP 29, Baku, Azerbaijan — November 23, 2024 Ahya Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with KPMG - a global leader in consulting, audit, and sustainability advisory services - to empower enterprises across the Middle East and Pakistan region with end-to-end solutions for climate reporting, sustainability audits, ESG advisory and access to voluntary carbon markets.

This collaboration combines Ahya’s climate software products in AhyaOS, AI-powered carbon management and accounting platform (CMAP) with KPMG’s extensive expertise in sustainability consulting and climate risk assessment to meet the region’s growing demand for sustainability reporting. The collaboration shall also provide clients access to KPMG’s advisory services for voluntary carbon markets, coupled with Tawazun, Ahya’s digital voluntary carbon marketplace (VCM), as well as combined publications on climate policy and regulations.

KPMG brings expertise in ESG advisory and assurance, utilising globally recognized methodologies to verify and validate sustainability data. KPMG has a strong focus on climate risk management, assisting enterprises in identifying and mitigating climate-related challenges. Its’ leadership in ESG assurance ensures compliance with international reporting frameworks, helping businesses achieve transparency and accountability in their sustainability efforts.

Through this partnership, Ahya and KPMG’s clients will receive access to an end-to-end suite of climate software and consulting products, with green-house gas (GHG) accounting based on GHG Protocol and Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) Guidelines, reporting on IFRS S-2, CDP, GRI standards. Additionally, the partnership will support enterprises in assessing climate risks and implementing effective decarbonization strategies based on Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), fostering resilient operations in key sectors across the region.
